Big things are happening for the SBT community

A New Chapter for SBT

We have some news.

From this summer, Squeaky Bum Time is bringing shows to the Glasgow Acting Academy on Bath Street.

A massive stage. City centre. We are very excited.

There’s more to come in the next newsletter on how the nights will roll out but trust us, it is going to be something. In the meantime, we are kicking things off with something rather special.

IMPROV CONFIDENCE BOOST

A four week course with Sarah Claspell

We love Sarah and you will too...or maybe you already do, if so; you're welcome. We are so very excited to have her teach for us

Here's the deal...

When under pressure we sometimes freeze up, struggle to get our ideas out clearly, or feel like we should somehow be BETTER.

Over four weeks, Sarah will help you break through the nerves, feel braver onstage and not get thrown when a scene goes somewhere unexpected. She normally teaches this as a one-off workshop. For us, she is building it out over four weeks so the skills properly stick.

Each Thursday: two hours of workshop with Sarah live from LA, then an hour of reps with SBT to put it straight into practice. Bonus!

Sarah is an actor, comedian, writer and teacher, and co-owner of the World's Greatest Improv School in LA. She teaches at WGIS and UCB, has appeared on Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Jimmy Kimmel Live!, written for Drunk History and performed at festivals all over the world.

When: Thursdays 9, 16, 23 and 30 July, 6:30 to 9:30pm

Where: Acting Coach Scotland, Govan Workspace, 6 Harmony Row, Glasgow G51 3BA

Tickets: £100 community / £120 standard / £140 supporter. Pick the price that fits. Can't afford it? Email us.

Places: Maximum 12.

Here is another bonus...

Sarah's course wraps up on Thursday 30 July. The very next night, Friday 31 July, we open the doors at the Glasgow Acting Academy for the inaugural Sandbox show.

Four weeks tuning your improv with one of the best teachers in the world, then straight onto the stage at GAA. We think that is a pretty good way to start a chapter.

More on what that night looks like very soon.

Love, SBT
